Creams and lotions

Unopened, creams and lotions have a shelf life of about three years. However, once the seal on a tube or a jar has been broken, its shelf life is reduced because the bacteria that thus gain access can multiply rapidly. The active ingredients are destroyed and acids form that can cause skin irritations. An oily film builds up and the product can turn rancid. If the products are refrigerated once they are opened, you’ll be able to enjoy the active ingredients for a long time. Cosmetic coolers from biszet protect your valuable skin care products and preserve their expensive ingredients.
Nail varnish

Like other cosmetics, nail varnish also only has a limited shelf life once opened. The more air that comes into contact with the nail varnish, the quicker it thickens and ultimately dries out. So store your nail varnish in the biszet cosmetics cooler to prolong your fun.

Lipstick

Changes in temperature are poison for lipsticks and the shelf life of a lipstick is particularly short if it contains nutrients. Once the taste changes, a rancid smell is caused or when the lipstick starts to break up, the time has come to throw it away. A biszet cosmetic cooler can considerably extend your lipstick’s shelf life.
Mascara

Mascara is especially sensitive to bacteria, particularly if it contains water. Special care has to be taken when applying it to the sensitive eye area. Mascara has a shelf life of around 3 to 6 months. You should throw your mascara away long before it breaks up and crumbles.
Powder products

Eye shadow, rouge and compact powder start to crumble when their shelf lives have come to an end. Products in powder form must be protected from heat at all costs because high temperatures allow the grease in them to separate and the surface starts to crumble. Eye shadows and rouges can be kept under optimum conditions in the biszet cosmetic cooler. By the way, surface sheen can be removed manually without any negative effects.
Pencils

Kajal sticks and lipliners are made of a waxy substance that is temperature sensitive. Pencils, however, enjoy the advantage of having a longer shelf life than many other cosmetics. Sharpening them gets rid of any white film that has already formed. As soon as pencils start to go mouldy, they should be thrown straight in the bin.
Suntan lotion

Really effective suntan lotion is more important now than it ever was before. You can still continue using last season’s cream if you refrigerate the suntan lotion. If the product still smells good and the contents have not yet separated, then you’re well prepared for summer again. Here’s a tip: Throw the bottle away if there’s not much left in it because the more air enters the bottle, the easier it is for bacteria to form.
